If you are visiting from the main town of Heraklion or from Chania by car, you will reach a stunning beach of Preveli which looks like a picture from the calendar. The beautiful beach and the lagoon in the area are as popular and picturesque as the monastery of Preveli and the Preveli Gorge. You can take a rental car from Heraklion airport or a bus to reach Preveli which is a bit far, then you have to walk along the stairs to reach the actual beach.
