Enclosed with tall pine and eucalyptus groves, Minimata beach is the closest beach from Vathi, the capital of Ithaca. It is said that this place was used to send and receive messages (Minimata) in ancient times, and from that, the name came.

The cool cyan coloured water, the small pebbles on the beach, and the bright sunlight make the place somewhat unreal. You can stroll around the bay to discover the place on your own, and bring your own items for sunbathing and swimming. The shallow waters are suitable for children to swim, making it good for families with children.

Minimata is located near Skinos giving a scope to the visitors to enjoy their private time on a yacht. You can visit here on a moonlit night to have the heavenly experience of the reflection of the moon in transparent waters of the sea.
