Platanias is a large beach and coastal resort that stretches all the way to Agia Marina’s next beach. In recent years, both settlements have grown to the point where they now constitute a nearly unique long beach. The water is clean and clear with a moderate Mediterranean climate. However, take note that strong winds can have a significant impact on the beach. When this happens, the sea becomes turbulent, wavy, and potentially dangerous.
